Food hygiene ratings are awarded by environmental health officers from Coventry City Council following inspection visits. Officers assess three areas: how hygienically food is handled and prepared; the physical condition of the building and facilities; and the management of food safety – including records, staff training and processes. Ratings run from 0 (urgent improvement necessary) to 5 (very good).
A rating is a snapshot of standards at the time of inspection. Businesses are entitled to request a re-inspection after making improvements, and a new rating will be awarded following that visit. Some businesses below are noted as having been recently reinspected, with a new rating pending publication.

All food hygiene ratings in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are publicly available on the Food Standards Agency website at ratings.food.gov.uk. You can search by business name, address or postcode.
From October 2023, all businesses in England that handle food for the public have been required to display their hygiene rating in a visible location. If a rating is not displayed, you can check the FSA website directly.
