Liz Truss has unveiled a new political YouTube show – and the internet immediately erupted into jokes referencing her infamously brief time as prime minister.
The programme, titled The Liz Truss Show, promises “unapologetic debate”, a defence of “Western values”, and a challenge to what she calls a “media dominated by groupthink”.
In a theatrical statement, Truss said she was “deposed for trying to save Britain” and that “the Deep State tried to destroy me”.
But critics online were far more interested in her new career pivot – and the memes came instantly.
🔵 Truss claims she was “deposed” and is now returning to “save Britain”
Announcing her new show, Truss said she was wrongly blamed for the 2022 economic crisis and is now planning a comeback via YouTube.
“I was deposed as Prime Minister for trying to save Britain from the doomloop we are in. The Deep State tried to destroy me – but now I’m back.”

Memes referencing the lettuce livestream – which infamously outlasted her time in office – surfaced immediately.
📺 First episode airs 5 December
Those wanting to watch the chaos unfold can tune in on Friday, where she promises “straight-talking discussions about the future of Britain and the free world.”
Whether the show becomes a genuine platform or just another political meme remains to be seen – but the internet isn’t waiting to find out.
