Young Bob was halfway through blaming mass immigration for what he claimed had happened to Glasgow and Edinburgh when Cait stopped him.
The right-wing campaigner, whose reported name is Thomas Moffitt, told the two young Scousers:
“If you go to Glasgow and Edinburgh, they’ve been overrun by a bunch of Somali drug dealers, right? And that’s what happens when you mass import…”
He did not get to finish.
Cait immediately asked where the claim had come from.
“Have you been to Edinburgh? Who told you that? Where are you getting this information? Show me.”
Her friend Liam then joined in with the question that would turn an obscure street debate into a viral clip.
“Yeah. Show us the stats.”
What followed was only a few seconds long, but it was enough to make Cait and Liam two of the internet’s new favourite people.
‘Get your phone out right now’
Young Bob responded that he could not show them statistics from anecdotes, but said he could show them the source.
Liam was ready for him.
“No, no, no. Get your phone out! Get your phone out! Get your phone out, right now. Show me the stats.”
As Young Bob attempted to continue, Liam repeated:
“Show me the stats!”
That was it. No lengthy speech and no attempt to exchange one sweeping claim for another. Young Bob had made a specific assertion about two Scottish cities, so Cait and Liam asked him to substantiate it there and then.
The statistics never appeared in the viral clip.
The footage was taken from a longer discussion about mass deportations published by the YouTube channel Project Britannia several weeks ago. Project Britannia describes itself as an organisation seeking to engage young conservatives and promote British and Christian values.
Young Bob has become known for staging public debates about immigration, deportation and national identity, adopting the confrontational “change my mind” format popularised by American conservative activists.
He has also been described as a spokesperson for Restore Britain, the party founded by former Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe. Restore has positioned itself to the right of Reform and supports mass deportations alongside much tighter citizenship rules.
As The Daily Britain recently reported, Restore is not currently projected to win seats at the next general election, but could still damage Reform by splitting the right-wing vote.
None of that helped Young Bob once Liam asked him to open his phone.
Cait and Liam identify themselves
The short clip spread rapidly on Threads, where it was shared with the caption:
“I’ve no idea who these legends are but I’m using this to comment under every bigots post from now on.”
Viewers were particularly taken with Liam’s refusal to let the conversation move forward without evidence.
“When I send you this, you better have receipts,” one person wrote.
Another said:
“Yes the SHOW ME THE STATS was perfection.”
One viewer already had plans for the audio:
“These are my two new favorite humans… Also someone PLEASE turn this into an audio we can use for Reels.”
The mystery surrounding the pair did not last long.
They identified themselves on Threads as Cait, who posts under @caitmarie.xx, and Liam, whose account is @l962168.
Liam responded to one of the posts sharing the clip:
“Hi everyone!! This is me and my mate. Anyways FREE PALESTINE, FREE CONGO, FREE SUDAN, FREE VENEZUELA, FREE CUBA.”
Cait also confirmed her identity:
“So this is me & my friend lolll. Hi guys, free Palestine xoxoxoxo.”
Liam’s Threads biography now describes him as an average Scouse lad with “a deep commitment to the workers overthrowing the Epstein class”.
Dawn Butler wants to meet them
The clip also reached Labour MP Dawn Butler, who represents Brent East.
Butler praised Cait and Liam and said she was interested in meeting them during her forthcoming visit to Liverpool for the Labour Party conference.
The conference begins in Liverpool on 27 September, with Butler due to appear at events during the gathering. Both Cait and Liam acknowledged her message online.
It is quite a result for an exchange that lasted only seconds. Young Bob arrived prepared to argue for mass deportations. Cait and Liam left with an invitation to meet an MP and thousands of people quoting them.
Why the clip landed
Young Bob’s problem was not simply that Cait and Liam disagreed with him. It was that they refused to debate a claim before he had established whether it was true.
When he referred to anecdotes, they asked for statistics. When he said he had a source, they asked him to produce it. When he tried to continue speaking, Liam pointed out that the necessary evidence was supposedly sitting on the phone in his pocket.
Cait and Liam’s version was considerably less patient.
Young Bob went looking for a debate about mass deportation. Instead, he produced one of the most reusable political responses of the year:
“Show me the stats.”

Absolitely brilliant. We would be saved if the mainstream press took the same approach
Brilliant, this is going to be the standard reply now to all racists making unsupported claims.
Young Bob, another hater on the gravy train. These people are now making a lucrative living from missinformation.
